If you have severe disabilities that would require more complex adaptations there are many Centres in the UK offering advice. Check out the LINKS.
IMPAIRED HEARING
Deafness will not be classed as a driver disability. There are no restrictions placed on a full licence when you have passed your test. It will, however, be of benefit to disclose this when applying for your driving test. This means the examiner will be properly prepared.
THE DRIVING TESTS
When applying for the test you should give as much information as possible about your disability. The time allocated will be double the normal time, so you will have an additional 40 minutes extra. This time will also help your examiner when completing his paperwork regarding your disability or the special adaptations to your vehicle. Once qualified any restrictions noted by the examiner is then itemised on the driving licence.
