The Cardington Test is only for Approved Driving Instructors. The test is conducted in the Instructors own car, which must be a manual transmission, have an interior mirror and internal head restraints for the driver and the assessor. The test is carried out at the Cardington DSA Training Centre. The test will be about 90 minutes, driving on all types of roads. The ADI will have to demonstrate their ability to perform the manoeuvres listed below:
There are no elements of theory testing or commentary driving. At the end of the test the assessor will give you the result with a brief explanation of any faults recorded. If you have been successful you will achieve Grade A pass mark. You will also receive a pass certificate. The Cardington Special Test is part of your Continued Professional Development (CPD). At Happy Hour we have successfully trained 24 ADI’s from Happy Hour Instructor Training and will continue with this training to help assist with the successes of Happy Hour School of Motoring.
If you would like to take the Cardington Special Test why not contact Happy Hour for your free information pack or contact the DSA direct.
“As a PDI I gained no success with the training at a former establishment. Happy Hour was recommended to me and after training with them I successfully passed the Part 2 and 3 exams. As a qualified ADI, I now work for Happy Hour where I find support and encouragement is always at hand.”
